“Ghost goal” hearing on Monday
The German FA (DFB) have announced that a verbal hearing to deal with TSG's appeal against the result of their match with Leverkusen is expected to take place on Monday, October 28th at 10:30 CET
Stefan Kießling's header in the 70th minute of Hoffenheim's match with Bayer 04 Leverkusen went wide of the post but went through a hole in the side netting. Referee Dr. Felix Brych awarded the goal, however, and the visitors took a 2-0 lead (final result 2-1). TSG lodged an appeal in order to have the match replayed.
