VfB Stuttgart 2-0 TSG 1899 Hoffenheim – match reaction

What did the managers and players of the two sides have to say about today's result? Find out here:

Holger Stanislawski: “We only have ourselves to blame. We got into good positions, but just didn't have the composure to convert our chances. For the first goal we switched off completely, not for the first time this season unfortunately, and the penalty was also a careless goal to concede. At the end of the day, though, we have to admit that VfB deserved the win.”

Bruno Labbadia: “My team deserve a lot of credit today. We were set up well from the back because we knew how dangerous their attack is. The game became very stretched in the second half, and I'm glad the boys stuck to their task. It was a good day for us and we're delighted with the three points.”

Andreas Beck: “I think we definitely could have got a point at least today. We had enough chances to, we just didn't make the right decisions up front. It was a real derby game; there were a lot of niggling fouls and scrappy periods of play.”

Tom Starke: “We shouldn't have lost today. We had lots of opportunities to score, and they didn't have that many. Unfortunately, that was the difference today – that they were more clinical.”
