Reaction to 2:2 draw with 1. FC Kaiserslautern

1899 Hoffenheim and 1. FC Kaiserslautern played out an eventful game on matchday 4 in the Bundesliga. All of the important reaction can be found below!

Ralf Rangnick (Head coach 1899 Hoffenheim)
We thrown the game away after taking a lead and performing well in the first half. Following the equaliser, just after the re-start, we knew it would be an interesting game. We have to be satisfied with a point as we didn't perform well with the ball at our feet. The change to bring on Sigurdsson was very important. We actually wanted to bring three players on, but we decided to bring him on first as he is a freekick specialist - as it showed.

Marco Kurz (Head coach 1. FC Kaiserslautern)
Up until the 25th minute it was my team doing all of the running. A passage of sloppy play led to them taking the lead. It was important for us to get an early goal following the break - the team believed in themselves and it shown. We played a great game, could have taken all three points back with us, but are very satisfied with the result.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (1899 Hoffenheim)
I am delighted with my first Bundesliga goal. Ralf Rangnick said to me that I should take the freekicks when I come on. Thankfully the goalkeeper chose the wrong corner from the set piece.

Luiz Gustavo (1899 Hoffenheim)
It's a great feeling. I've had to wait a long time to get my first Bundesliga goal. Demba did all of the hard work, squaring it to me , with me just needing to guide it home. It was a great moment for me.

Christian Tiffert (1. FC Kaiserslautern)
This draw feels like a defeat. Against a good team we played a great game, putting in perhaps our best performance of the season. I think Hoffenheim must be sitting in their changing room counting their luck. We deserved to win today.

Tobias Sippel
The draw feels like a defeat for me. If we had taken our chances earlier we'd be sitting here now talking about us taking home all three points.
