Cup draw will take place on Saturday

The second round of the DFB-Pokal, the German Cup, featured some totally unexpected results and the 16 teams remaining will know on Saturday who to face in the eight finals.

On Saturday evening, the eight games will be drawn in the „aktuelles Sportstudio" in German television. One of Germany's Women's European Champions, Celia Okoyino da Mbabi, will be alongside Oliver Bierhoff, general manager of the German national team, to draw lots for the next round which will take place on the 27th and 28th of October.

Eight Bundesliga sides, six teams from the 2. Bundesliga as well as two amateur clubs will be in the pot. Other than 1899 Hoffenheim, FC Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, FC Schalke 04, Werder Bremen, Eintracht Frankfurt, VfB Stuttgart and the 1. FC Cologne will be in action when the participants of the quarter finals are sought.

With MSV Duisburg, Greuther Fürth, TuS Koblenz, 1860 Munich, FC Augsburg and 1.FC Kaiserslautern, some prominent teams from the 2. Bundesliga are also left in the Cup whereas VfL Osnabrück (third league) and Eintracht Trier (fourth league) will hope to spring another sensation in the round to come.
