Short description
The Poland born Darius Scholtysik started off his coaching career in 2005, initially with the Eintracht Braunschweig U17 squad. He then served as an assistant coach with the VfL Wolfsburg reserves, before embarking upon a long and successful cooperation with Torsten Lieberknecht. The duo worked together at Eintracht Braunschweig from 2008 to 2018, where they helped the tradition-steeped club climb from the third division to the Bundesliga. Scholtysik then followed Lieberknecht to Duisburg, where they worked between 2018 and 2020. He first linked up with André Breitenreiter in 2021/22, with the duo becoming surprise Swiss champions with FC Zurich. Scholtysik subsequently accompanied Breitenreiter to Hoffenheim and has been TSG’s assistant coach since July 2022.
