Mainz strong at home and in form

After their home victory against FC Augsburg, the next obstacle now awaits TSG on the road. Hoffenheim will be away to 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday (15:30 CET / Live Ticker at tsg-hoffenheim.de). The home team are in 16th position but will go into the game with the wind in their sails. We have the most important facts and figures on #M05TSG for you below.

Did you know that…

…Hoffenheim are very dangerous at the beginning of a match?

Hoffenheim have already scored 18 goals in the first 30 minutes of their games this season –only FC Bayern Munich (19 goals) have been more successful.

…TSG should be wary of 1. FSV Mainz 05?

The Zero-Fivers might currently be in 16th place in the table, but coach Bo Henriksen's team have recently gone three games on the bounce without defeat. Mainz are also undefeated on home turf under their new coach, taking 10 points from four matches.

…Mainz are in very strong form?

The 16th-placed side in the table have already picked up 12 points in the second half-season, which is one point more than in the first half-season – having played six games fewer.

…Hoffenheim do not have good experiences with Mainz?

TSG have managed to win only one of their last seven Bundesliga meetings with Mainz (4-1 victory in September 2022). Mainz have won on four occasions.

…a sad record could be equalled?

TSG have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 23 Bundesliga matches. If Oliver Baumann concedes another goal on Saturday, Hoffenheim would equal their negative club record of conceding at least one goal in 24 matches in a row (April 2013 - January 2014).
