TSG will host Europa League participants Eintracht Frankfurt at the PreZero Arena in their first match of 2020. Hoffenheim have had a tough time of it in recent encounters with Eintracht: Frankfurt have come out on top in the last three meetings between the two sides, with the two before that both ending in 1-1 draws - the last Hoffenheim win in the fixture (1-0) dates back to April 2017.

Sunday 26 January, 15.30 CET: Werder Bremen vs. TSG

The second match of the year will see a reunion with some familiar faces. Former TSG star Leonardo Bittencourt now plays his football in Bremen, while Hoffenheim players Florian Grillitsch and Ishak Belfodil both used to play for Werder. TSG edged out a hard-fought 3-2 win in the return fixture, while the most recent meeting of the two sides in Bremen ended in a 1-1 draw.
