Training camp, day three – Game preparation
Yesterday morning's training session focused on the friendly in the afternoon against Sparta Rotterdam at 15.30 GMT. While Chris, Pelle Jensen, Matthieu Delpierre, Roberto Firmino and Fabian Johnson are all still involved in fitness training, Stephan Schröck is afflicted with a back injury. Above all the focus lay on the tactical representation of the team. At the end of the session, Kurz's men spent time practising corners.
In summeresque temperatures and rays of sunshine, Sven Schipplock hit a first time screamer in the top corner and then later Marvin Compper caught the ball in his face at such an angle that he had to be treated for a nosebleed. After a short lunch break, TSG left for Guia, a district of Albufeira, where the game against the Dutch second division side took place.
