Andreas Beck signs contract extension

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim captain Andreas Beck has signed a new deal at the club that will keep him at the club until 2014. His previous deal was due to expire next summer.

The 24-year-old defender joined the club from VfB Stuttgart in 2008 and has made 96 appearances since then. “Andreas has become synonymous with our club since his arrival and he has a great rapport with the fans. We're delighted to be keeping our captain here until 2014”, said Ernst Tanner, Hoffenheim's Sporting Director. Manager Holger Stanislawski added, “Andreas is a core part of what we are building at this club. That he's signed a new deal speaks volumes for our ambitions here.”

Beck himself was also pleased to have the deal signed and sealed: “I'm delighted to be here until 2014. I can really identify with this club and the plans the manager has. It wasn't a hard decision to make really.”
