Wellington joins Düsseldorf on loan
Brazilian attacker Wellington will play for Bundesliga second division outfit Fortuna Düsseldorf this coming season. The 22-year-old has a contract with Hoffenheim until 2013, but will spend the coming year at Fortuna.
Having joined Hoffenheim in 2008, the front man scored three goals in 18 games in his first year, and was last season loaned out to Dutch title-winners FC Twente. "We're pleased that Wellington is back playing in Germany," explained manager Ernst Tanner. "Düsseldorf is a great opportunity for him to get some vital minutes under his belt".
