Ernst Tanner to take over as sporting director

The qualified sports teacher joined TSV 1860 Munich in 1994 before taking over the Lions' youth academy in 2003. He decided to move to Hoffenheim in 2009, continuing in the same role. "I'm very thankful for the trust the club has placed in me and I'm looking forward to the task ahead, which I will be taking on with all my might," said Tanner.
