Salihovic undergoes successful meniscus operation

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim player Sejad Salihovic (28) underwent a successful operation on the lateral meniscus of his right knee on Monday. The Bosnian international suffered the injury in TSG's Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach on January 19th. Salihovic will probably be out for between eight and ten weeks.

Hoffenheim's sporting director Andreas Müller: “Sejad Salihovic's injury is a real blow. He's now one of three long-term injured midfielders along with Sebastian Rudy and Boris Vukcevic. We hope that he'll make a quick return to fitness and that he can help us towards the end of the season.” Müller continued: “The recent signings of Afriyie Acquah and Eugen Polanski prove all the more important now after this setback.”
