Patrick Ochs: "Frankfurt will be a difficult match"

What did you make of the opening league game of 2013?

You could see that there was a sense of unity in the squad. We know the situation we're in and will fight together to avoid relegation. You can't expect too much too soon, but we wanted to make a good start to the year and we've done that. It was important that we kept a clean sheet.

Like you already said, things were a lot more solid in defence. Are you hoping to make an appearance on the wing because of that?

I take what I can get and play where the team needs me to. I'm pleased with any opportunity to play so I don't mind where on the pitch that is. I would even go in goal in an emergency.

What are your aims for the rest of the season?

For us to gather as many points as possible. There's just one goal: Avoid relegation. The minimum requirement is to stay in the relegation play-off place, but of course we're trying to climb one position.

Will it be a special moment for you to return to the Commerzbank-Arena as a former Frankfurt player?

When you've played for a side as long as I did for Eintracht, obviously it's difficult to go back. But I just have to put those feelings to one side for 90 minutes and give my all for the team.

What do expect to happen in Saturday's game?

It will be a difficult match; Frankfurt are fourth in the table so they're the clear favourites. Nevertheless, we'll try to give everything to bring three points back to Sinsheim.
