Kaiser signs contract extension

1899 midfielder Dominik Kaiser has signed a two-year contract extension with the club. His previous deal was due to run out at the end of the season, but TSG have moved quickly to tie him down until the summer of 2014.

The 23-year-old arrived at the club in the 2009 close-season and has made a total of 67 appearances, including playing in the German 4th Division, 3rd Division and the Bundesliga. He has been an established member of the first team squad since the beginning of the season and has featured eight times in the league thus far.

Ernst Tanner, the club's General Manager, said of the deal, “Dominik has developed fantastically well here and he's a player that we will be able to count on to give his best for the next few years. He has been a model professional, worked hard and earned himself a place in the senior squad. So we are, therefore, pleased that he has chosen to extend his contract and look forward to what he and the club can deliver in the future.”

Head coach Holger Stanislawski also spoke positively of Kaiser's development at the club. “This season especially, he has put in some very good performances for the team, and he can build on that. He is a god pro, very eager to learn and always keen to improve. With his talent and application he has the potential to achieve a lot, and help the team as well.”

And the player himself was unsurprisingly delighted: “I feel completely at home here at Hoffenheim. The conditions are outstanding, and not just the sporting facilities here but also the general area. Things have gone well for me up to this point. I believe that, with the necessary commitment and the possibilities on offer here, I can continue to develop very well here.”
