€10,000 for ''warm-hearted'' campaign

A sense of social responsibility is one of TSG Hoffenheim's core values - and during the recent home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05, the club's fans also showed their commitment to helping those in need. The donation collected was officially handed over at Saturday's home game against Fortuna Düsseldorf.

For the eighth time now, TSG Hoffenheim organised one of their home matches under the motto ''show heart.'' At the home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 (Sunday 23 December), thousands of TSG fans embraced the spirit of the ''warm-hearted day of action'' by responding generously to the club's call to donate money to the ''Kinder unterm Regenbogen'' (Children Under The Rainbow) campaign. The check amounting to €10,000 was handed over to the club's business partner ''Radio Regenbogen'' by members of the TSG board at Saturday's home match against Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Each year, the 'Kinder unterm Regenbogen'' (Children Under The Rainbow) campaign organises new projects for children and family in the local region who find themselves in a vulnerable situation as a result of misfortune. As a token of gratitude, all of those who chose to help local people with a donation of €5 or more were given either a thermal heat pad bearing the warm-hearted campaign logo or a song book.

Thanks to the generous support of many youth players from the TSG academy as well as hosts of the HOFFEXPRESS roadshow teams, who worked as donation collectors in and around the PreZero Arena in Sinsheim, we were able to come away with a fantastic end result: the TSG family showed their heart by donating a four figure sum, which the club ultimately rounded up to make €10,000.

As part of the home match against Mainz, TSG invited disadvantaged individuals to come and experience a match live in the stadium. Tickets were also offered to social organisations from the local area at a heavily discounted price.

TSG Hoffenheim would like to thank all fans who participated in this donation campaign and in doing so set a brilliant example for solidarity and charity.
