Friendlies in Diedesheim and Löchgau

The Bundesliga team face two friendlies this weekend: the first will be at 16:00 CET on Saturday, when head coach Jürgen Ehrmann's side come up against an Odenwald XI in Diedesheim; the second will kick off exactly 24 hours later, at 16:00 CET on Sunday, when TSG visit Oberliga side FV Löchgau. Meanwhile, the U20s will face SC Freiburg II at the St. Leon-Rot training ground on Sunday (14:45 CET).

Head coach Jürgen Ehrmann's charges face further friendlies as part of the first phase of their pre-season preparations, two of which will be this weekend against teams from the region. Saturday (16:00 CET) will see TSG travel to the Forest of Odes, where they will face an Odenwald XI. "I'm really excited for this match," declared Judith Steinert, who will be returning to her roots for that match. "I know some of the players and the opposition shouldn't be underestimated," she warned. Next up is another friendly on Sunday (16:00 CET) against FV Löchgau. "The week of training was very intense for the players," said Ehrmanan. "Nonetheless, we want to show our footballing quality against these deep-lying teams." The only injury absentee will be Annika Eberhardt, who still has a foot problem.

The U20s, meanwhile, played a friendly against FC Speyer on Wednesday evening. Siegfried Becker and Lena Forscht's charges beat the Regionalliga outfit 5-1 (3-0) courtesy of goals from Sophie Riepl, Dana Leskinen, Kathi Naschenweng, Chantal Hagel and Vanessa Leimenstoll. Their next friendly will be against SC Freiburg II at the St. Leon-Rot training ground on Sunday (14:45 CET).
