Nagelsmann: "It's a fair result"

Here are the reactions from the players and both coaches after TSG Hoffenheim drew 2-2 (2-1) away at VfL Wolfsburg.

Benjamin Hübner: "I've put the injury out of my mind, that doesn't play a role for me anymore. My comeback would've been nicer if we'd won. An early goal away from home should actually boost our self-belief. But we lost our way after taking the lead and didn't look as lively. I don't really understand it. There was a clear message in the dressing room [at half-time] that we wanted to turn it around. We then played all-out attack and were rewarded with a point. We showed our true character there."

Ermin Bicakcic: "Although we took the lead in the first half, we lost possession a lot. Put simply, we didn't play to our strengths. We were lacking a little of courage on the ball. We then upped our game in the second period. We were aiming to get the victory here but we still managed to get a point. The first goal that we conceded was a case of bad luck. He sends a cross into the middle that feels like it's going at 200kmh and I actually did well to get across the striker, but then I slipped and couldn't really get behind the ball. What happened next was unlucky of course. Now we need to move forward and go again on Wednesday. There's still a chance for us to finish third in the group in Manchester. Obviously it won't be an easy game on paper, but as long as we have a chance then we'll give our all and prepare as best as we can so that we won't need to say to ourselves afterwards that we didn't give it everything."

Julian Nagelsmann: "I was very satisfied with the opening 20 minutes. We consciously gave up possession in order to have chances to counter. We defended too aggressively before the equaliser. Thereafter, we did not get to grips with our pressing too well. During the interval we brought on another striker – we couldn't get much more attacking than that. We deserved to get the equaliser and dominated the second half. It was a fair result. The right commitment was there and I like that."

Bruno Labbadia (VfL Wolfsburg coach): "My team did superbly after going 1-0 down. They reacted strongly to the setback. We didn't become rash and showed good versatility in the wide positions. I think that the reason we didn't win the game today was because we didn't strike the final blow. Hoffenheim subsequently performed very well using their great attacking power. They showed why they're playing Champions League football."
