David Abraham moves to Eintracht Frankfurt

David Abraham has left TSG and will play for league rivals Eintracht Frankfurt from next season. The centre back had a contract with the Kraichgau club until 30th June 2016.

“I’m happy to have taken the step into the Bundesliga through TSG,” said David Abraham, who previously had spells as top Swiss club FC Basel and Spanish first-division outfit Getafe. “The highly professional setting and the trust and pleasure I have gotten from working in Hoffenheim have helped me develop even further. I have enjoyed my time here right up until the end, but I’m also looking forward to a new challenge in Frankfurt.”

The 28-year-old Argentine made 46 Bundesliga appearances for TSG, scoring two goals. Abraham was an U20 World Cup winner with the South American nation ten years ago, while he also won three league titles and two cups during his time at FC Basel, who he featured for 18 times in the Champions League.
