Nadiem Amiri signs professional contract until 2018

18-year-old Nadiem Amiri has signed a contract extension with TSG, which will keep him at the club until 30th June 2018. His new deal means that he has now agreed a professional contract with the club.

Amiri made the switch to Hoffenheim's youth academy from SV Waldhof Mannheim in summer 2012 and he celebrated winning the senior German Youth Championship with Hoffenheim's U19s in June 2014. The midfielder scored twice in Hoffenheim's 5-0 final win over Hannover 96. During the preparation for this season, manager Markus Gisdol called up the Germany Under-19 international into the first-team squad.

Here's what Alexander Rosen, director of football at TSG, had to say about the decision: "Nadiem has been developing well over the last few months and is an example of the excellent work put in at the achtzehn99 academy. We're pleased to have signed such a good talent on a long-term basis.” So far this season, Amiri has played six games for TSG's U23s in the Regionalliga Südwest.
