Eugen Polanski agrees
early contract extension
until 2017

Eugen Polanski has agreed a two-year contract extension at TSG, keeping him at the club until 30th June 2017.

Alexander Rosen was delighted with the early agreement and Polanski's “clear commitment to TSG”. The director of football sees the 28-year-old Pole as for more than just a linchpin on the pitch. “His manner and presence both on and off the pitch have led to him quickly becoming an integral personality in our team. He is a model professional, he takes on responsibility and the team listens to what he has to say,” explained Rosen.

Eugen Polanski moved to Kraichgau from fellow Bundesliga side 1. FSV Mainz 05 in January 2013. So far, he has made 43 Bundesliga appearances for TSG (174 in total), scoring three goals (8).

Polanski considers the contract extension a “logical consequence after what has happened at TSG over the past months. I'm full of desire to carry on along this path we have taken together,” said Polanski, who is also vice captain. “I feel very much at home here. We have some strong characters and a great team – ideal conditions for a successful future,” said the 19-time Poland international.
