Strobl extends until 2016 – Williams joins Reading FC
Tobias Strobl has extended his contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim until June 30th 2016. The 23-year-old has been with the club since 2011.
In his first season at Hoffenheim, Strobl made his presence known in the U23s squad, earning a Bundesliga debut during the second half of the 2011/12 campaign. The defensive midfielder spent last season on loan at 1. FC Köln, scoring one goal in 21 appearances.
Meanwhile, Daniel Williams has moved to England to join Championship side Reading FC. The 24-year-old American international had a contract with TSG until 2014 but will instead make a switch to the side recently relegated from the Premier League. The transfer fee is undisclosed.
Born in Karlsruhe in Germany, Williams joined Hoffenheim from SC Freiburg in the 2011/12 season and made 45 Bundesliga appearances for the Kraichgau club.
