Nelson scores on his U21 debut

14 members from the TSG Hoffenheim senior squad will be travelling for international duty during this week and the start of next week. achtzehn99.de is here to inform you about international fixtures, the schedule and who has been chosen.

Reiss Nelson has scored his first goal on his first call-up for the U21 England national team. The attacker was substituted on in the second half of the English youth team's fixture against Andorra's U21s. His first goal was the sixth of seven, in a 7-0 victory in the qualification round.

Ishak Belfodil also enjoyed a pleasant international game. The 26-year-old celebrated his return into the Algerian national team and was brought on for Riyad Mahrez during their 2-0 victory against Benin in the African Cup of Nations qualification round.

In a repeat fixture of the World Cup semi-finals in Rijeka between Croatia and England, Andrej Kramaric played a full 90 minutes. The Nations League match resulted in a goalless draw.

Defeats for Szalai and Zuber

Adam Szalai and Steven Zuber also played in the Nations League. Zuber lost together with his Swiss counterparts (2-1 against Belgium in Brussels) as did Adam Szalai with Hungary (1-0 against Greece in Athens). They both played for 90 minutes.

In the U20 international fixture between Germany and the Netherlands (1-1), both Alfons Amade and Robin Hack were utilised. Amade appeared in the starting line-up whereas Hack was brought on just after an hour.

Justin Hoogma (The Netherlands U21s), Meris Skenderovic (Montenegro U21s) and Christoph Baumgartner (Austria U21s) also featured in Euro qualification fixtures for their respective countries.
