#TSGBSC: Comeback specialists

Football will soon be back, with the Bundesliga resuming on Saturday. TSG Hoffenheim's first game will be at home to Hertha BSC (15:30 CET/Live Ticker at achtzehn99.de). The capital club have fared poorly on their visits to Sinsheim in recent years. It will be the first match in TSG's Bundesliga history to be played behind closed doors.

Did you know that…

…TSG are unbeaten in eight matches against Hertha BSC?

Hoffenheim's last defeat against the men from Berlin was a 1-0 loss on 22 November 2015. It's the longest unbeaten run TSG have put together against any one opponent in their Bundesliga history.

…Hoffenheim frequently take points from losing positions?

There's been cause for the fans to be optimistic even when TSG have fallen 1-0 behind this term: Alfred Schreuder's charges have picked up 14 points from losing positions since the start of the campaign. They have only bettered that tally once – when they picked up 15 points from losing positions in the entirety of the 2012/13 season.

…Hertha have also showed strong spirit recently?

Hertha BSC found themselves 3-0 and 2-0 down in their last two matches – away to Fortuna Düsseldorf and at home to Werder Bremen respectively. But that did not stop the capital club from battling back to secure a draw on both occasions and picking up two important points in their battle to beat the drop.

…Hertha BSC have already sacked three coaches?

During the coronavirus break, Bruno Labbadia was appointed as head coach in place of Alexander Nouri. Labbadia, who will be making his dugout debut on Saturday, is the fourth man to coach the capital club this season after Nouri, Jürgen Klinsmann and Ante Čović.

…the men from Berlin are unbeaten in five away matches?

Hertha are currently in 13th place with 28 points on the board, but they have done well on their travels: the capital club have the eighth-best away record in the division with 16 points amassed.
