Pentke: "A bitter feeling"

Here's what the players and coaches had to say following the 2-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Philipp Pentke: "Naturally, I was absolutely delighted to make my debut. It's a wonderful feeling; a thrill even at the age of 34. But it would've been nicer if we'd taken the three points. I'm obviously sad about that. Both sides really stood off each other in the first period. We then scored the equaliser soon after the interval. We subsequently enjoyed a really good spell of pressure, only to concede a goal from a simple cross. We put in a lot of effort and ultimately have nothing to show for it. It's a bitter feeling."

Havard Nordtveit: "I think we applied pressure well in the second period. It was just difficult to come back after they'd gone 2-1 ahead. We had a lot of possession but we need to make it count more. We need to keep working."

Benjamin Hübner: "It was a poor first-half performance from us and it played into Frankfurt's hands. We began to find spaces in the second half after making the switch. We need to ask ourselves why we didn't do that in the first period. But equally it can be seen as a positive that we're capable of making a tactical tweak and improving. We need to become more clinical in front of goal."

Munas Dabbur: "We performed very well in the second period, dominated the game and created chances. We played some good football in the second half. We need to learn from this. I was obviously delighted to have played today. I'll try to give my best and score goals to help the team."

Alfred Schreuder: "A defeat is probably a fair result in the end. In the first period, we struggled to create sufficient tempo in possession and didn't manage to switch the play quickly enough. We made a change in the second half and it got a lot better. But unfortunately, we then made a major error in the run-up to their second goal. We were knocked off our stride a tad in the period that followed and we needed 10 minutes. There were opportunities for us after that but we didn't make good enough use of space."

Adi Hütter (Eintracht Frankfurt coach): "I'm delighted with the victory. For us, it was very important to win the match. I would say it was a deserved victory for us on the basis of the 90 minutes. It was an excellent team performance."
