His extensive network, which he has built up during his work in national and international football, will also help us to strategically position the club and lead it into the future.''
Strich, who can look back on a playing career which saw him contest 79 second-tier matches for Union Solingen, RW Oberhausen and FC 08 Homburg, will join a TSG directorial team consisting of Alexander Rosen (Director of Football), Dirk Mack (Youth Director) and Christian Frommert (Director of Media & Communications) and led by Managing Directors Peter Görlich and Frank Briel.
"After many years spent working for the German Football Association, I thought it was the right time to pursue my longstanding desire to work for a Bundesliga club. TSG Hoffenheim are a young, innovative and exciting club. They've been one of the great success stories in German football over the past few years and have enormous potential for the future. I am looking forward to playing my part in the continued development of the club," said Strich, who left the DFB last October after 13 years in the post of Marketing Director.
