#WOBTSG: Wolfsburg tough to beat at home

Matchday 5 of the Bundesliga season sees TSG travel to VfL Wolfsburg. The 'Autostadt' has proven to be a tough place for Hoffenheim to visit in the past, with away wins there a rare occurrence, but three points will be the objective on Monday evening (20:30 CET/Live Ticker at achtzehn99.de). Below, achtzehn99.de has all the facts and figures you need to know ahead of #WOBTSG.

Did you know that…

…TSG have only ever won once in Wolfsburg?

Hoffenheim won 2-1 away to VfL Wolfsburg on 25 February 2012, with Sven Schipplock scoring a late goal to claim what remains TSG's only victory to date at the Volkswagen Arena. Wolfsburg have won six of the other 10 meetings there, while there have been four draws too.

…Wolfsburg are a tough nut to crack at home?

It is not only against TSG that the Wolves have a strong home record. They have only lost one match in front of their own supporters in 2019 – a 3-0 home defeat to Leverkusen on Matchday 19 of last season.

…Wolfsburg have the best defensive record in the league?

Coach Oliver Glasner's charges have made a strong start to the season, picking up eight points from their four games. They largely have their solid defence to thank for that: VfL share the best defensive record in the Bundesliga with Leipzig and Frankfurt, who have conceded three goals each.

…two of the top-scorers of 2019 will go head to head?

Since the start of 2019, Ishak Belfodil and Wolfsburg's Wout Weghorst have scored 12 and 14 goals respectively, making them the second and third highest scorers of the calendar year behind Robert Lewandowski (15).

…Hoffenheim are among the most tough-tackling teams in the division?

Along with Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen, TSG have the joint-highest tackle win rate in the Bundesliga so far this season, with 53 percent of challenges won.
