First training session under Schreuder

Saturday afternoon saw Alfred Schreuder's TSG Hoffenheim side take to the club's training complex in Zuzenhausen for their first session of pre-season. The Dutchman put his charges through their paces for the first time as TSG head coach. A total of 25 players were in attendance.

Loud applause rang out around Zuzenhausen as the players and coaching staff of TSG Hoffenheim took to the training ground. A large number of fans turned out to witness Alfred Schreuder's first training session as the head coach of TSG. The Dutchman was able to begin his preparations for the 2019/20 Bundesliga season with the presence of 22 outfield players as well as three goalkeepers. All four of the club's new signings - Ihlas Bebou, Sargis Adamyan, Konstantinos Stafylidis and Philipp Pentke - were in attendance. The list of absentees was made up of Kasim Adams (Africa Cup of Nations), Nadiem Amiri (U21 Euro), Christoph Baumgartner, Stefan Posch, Steven Zuber (extended holiday after international commitments) and Ishak Belfodil, who underwent an individual session as a result of a recent injury.

After the session, which lasted approximately one hour, the TSG stars took the time to sign autographs and take photos with the fans.

The first team will undergo a fitness test on Sunday. Over the course of the coming week, the squad will have open training sessions at 10:30 on weekdays.
