Nagelsmann: "We've boosted our confidence"

…FC Augsburg: "They produced a very good display in what was an emotional cup tie against Leipzig and they were unlucky to lose. They sometimes sit very deep, have certain patterns to their play and are very aggressive. There'll definitely be one or two fouls – on both sides. I don't know if we're necessarily the favourites, but we won't be the underdogs on Sunday."

…the personnel situation: "Oliver Baumann had a minor back complaint but is now fit again. Joelinton is out as you know (editor's note: torn syndesmosis). But he's been a bit tired recently anyway and hasn't been at full strength. I'm presuming he'll make further appearances for us this season."

…training this week: "As always, the impressions I've had from training have been positive. We used the week to work more intensively on general things. We had a bit more time for recovery. The lads performed well. The match against Leverkusen boosted our confidence."

…Gregor Kobel: "I'm delighted that he's playing. That's the purpose of a loan. He's delivered a lot of good performances but is generally still conceding too many goals. He's a huge talent and he's developed superbly. Augsburg can continue the good work that Michael Rechner started."

…the victory against Real Madrid in the UEFA Youth League: "The first 20 minutes were the best in this Youth League campaign. The heavy rainfall meant the pitch was in a barely usable condition after the break. But in the first 20 minutes when the surface was still playable, the lads were better than Real Madrid. So they deserved to win. Now they hopefully have two more exciting games ahead."

…his upcoming departure: "The match against Leverkusen was a highly emotional one for me. I had tears in my eyes when we went 4-1 up and was very proud of the lads. I still have three home games to go at TSG. I'm not thinking too much about leaving but I can't entirely block it out either."

"With crazy three-on-three battles in the weight room with my physiotherapy colleagues, mountain-biking and jogging. I try to do a lot of sport but my job and my family mean that there isn't too much time. So I have to be aware of my diet as a result."
