#VFBTSG: expect the spectacular in the derby

The derby is upon us. On Saturday at 15:30 CET, TSG and VfB Stuttgart will battle it out for local bragging rights. Hoffenheim will be determined to replicate their derby success earlier in the season. For fans and friends of TSG, achtzehn99.de has compiled all the important facts, figures and statistics on #VFBTSG below.

Did you know that….

…derbies tend to be high-scoring affairs?

The first-ever Bundesliga encounter between the two sides - back in 2008 - remains the only one to end goalless. The 18 matches since then have seen a total of 61 goals (29 scored by TSG and 32 by VfB, 3.38 goals per game on average).

…the recent head-to-head record favours TSG?

In the previous eight games against VfB, TSG have picked up five wins and one draw. The two Hoffenheim defeats have come in their two most recent trips to Stuttgart.

…the last time TSG failed to score away from home was against Stuttgart?

Julian Nagelsmann's side have managed to score in every single one of their away matches so far this season. The last time Hoffenheim failed to score in an away match in the Bundesliga was on Matchday 33 of last season. Their opponents that day? VfB Stuttgart, who ran out 2-0 winners.

…Andrej Kramaric has a TSG record in his sights?

The Croatian has scored a total of 45 Bundesliga goals for TSG. He needs just one more to draw level with current all-time TSG Bundesliga top-scorer Sejad Salihovic. Two goals would see him overtake the Bosnian.

…Nadiem Amiri is on the cusp of making his 100th Bundesliga appearance?

The midfielder has played a total of 99 matches in the Bundesliga for TSG. An appearance against VfB on Saturday would certainly make it a derby to remember.
