Grillitsch: "This is not the result we want"

Here are the reactions from the players and coaches after the 1-1 (0-1) draw at VfB Stuttgart.

Kevin Vogt: "We wanted to get the three points but we couldn't manage it. As a result, I'm not in an overly good mood. The many draws we've had this season are frustrating, but today it wasn't entirely undeserved. We didn't sufficiently stick to our plan and couldn't create that much. We did have a few clear-cut chances, but the same applies to Stuttgart. So all in all it's a fair result."

Florian Grillitsch: "We drew 1-1, but that's not the result we want. We did have chances to add a second goal. But it has been theme this season that we don't kill games, concede a goal and then end up drawing. Now it's time for the international break and for everyone to do some soul-searching. The last few matches were not good, we need to produce more on the pitch if we're to win games."

Andrej Kramaric: "I'm not in the best mood. Our games are all going the same way at the moment and we're dropping points in the same manner every weekend: we're always leading but we don't win. We're not learning from it, even though we have the potential to play in the Champions League. It's slowly becoming tiring having to say the same things after every game. After my opening goal, I was hoping that we would manage to go on to win this time, but we didn't play at the same level in the second half as we had in the first period. I'm happy and also proud to have equalled the goal record, it's wonderful. I wasn't expecting that I would reach this tally. I'm really very happy to be at this club. But at the moment, it's outweighed by my disappointment with the draw. Because we wanted to get back into the Champions League, but that's definitely no longer possible this season."

Kerem Demirbay: "We need to be winning these games, whether we're at home or not. I don't want to talk it up, this is not enough for us."

Julian Nagelsmann: "At the end of the day, the point is probably fair. Both teams made a slightly sluggish start to the game in the first period. But as the match progressed, we became dominant and continued to perform well after the interval too. We forgot to add a second goal. That's been a common theme throughout the campaign. But perhaps we sometimes just need to see out a 1-0 win. It wasn't actually a dangerous situation, but we didn't track the run of Andreas Beck. After we conceded at 1-1, we no longer had the structure to our play. I can't complain about the result."

Markus Weinzierl (VfB Stuttgart coach): "We can live with the point. We had to come from behind and so we should be satisfied that we still managed to pick up a point against such a strong opponent. But we didn't always manage to find good solutions."
