''We have to win when we're so dominant''

Here's what the players and coaches had to say after the 1-1 draw with FSV Mainz 05.

Adam Szalai: ''To put it simply, we didn't make the most of our goal-scoring chances, we made bad decisions and as a result we deservedly didn't come away with a win. We can't really be happy with all these matches in which we've been the superior side but haven't been able to get the win. Today was by no means the first time. When we're playing at home and are so dominant, then we have to win.''

Steven Zuber: ''Of course it's annoying when you don't win a game like that, despite all the chances we had. I think we've reached the point where we have to have to ask ourselves: how can we be more focused in the final third? How can we be more clinical in front of goal? The coach certainly has a lot to work on with us in this aspect of the game.''

Kerem Demirbay: ''We had enough chances to get the three points. We have to be more clinical. That's something we have to focus on in future.''

Julian Nagelsmann: ''Today was a repeat of what we've seen so often this season: lots of effort, little in the way of reward. We really should have nine to 13 more points than we currently do, so I can't say we're 100% happy, even though the attitude was outstanding once more. We haven't scored anything like enough goals. I'm happy that we'll now get the chance to work on a lot of things. We have one point less than we did at this stage last season, so now we have to make sure we pick up more in the second half of the season.''

Sandro Schwarz (FSV Mainz 05 head coach): ''It was a really open game in the first half. We were forced to sit a bit deeper in the second half as TSG were dominant at that point. It very much opened up again towards the end, and we might just have been able to hit them with a lucky punch. We're happy with the point.''
