Schulz: "We play for a victory until the very end"

Here is what the players and the coach had to say after the 1-1 (0-1) at Werder Bremen.

Nico Schulz: "By the end, I was dead. It was a battle once again. When you look at both halves, we'll happily take the point. But we want to win every game and we try to go out and get the three points, even if we risk it at the back. We always want to play attacking football and to play for a victory until the very end."

Kasim Adams: "We always play attacking football, so it's normal that we attack until the end. It was a tough game. We really wanted to win. We managed to go 1-0 up and we had a load of chances after their equaliser where we could have decided the game. I think that we had some good chances in the first half but after the break, it was even. So really, we should have won today.

Leonardo Bittencourt: "On one side it is a bit annoying and on other the side, we earned a point. We are unbeaten in nine Bundesliga games, which shouldn't be overlooked. On Sunday, we want to turn it around and get the three points, to put us in good stead for the second half of the season. Werder played a good game and we've got a good few games under our belts so we could've lost, but at the same time, we could've also won. I managed to strike the ball well and I'm happy that the shot found the target.

Julian Nagelsmann: "It was noticeable how tired we are. It could've have been 3-3 in the end. We were lucky to get the point. On Sunday we'll get the three points."

Florian Kohfeldt (Werder Bremen coach): "In the first half neither side played that well. The first goal was fair enough in our view. In the second half, we equalised to make it 1-1 and should have gone in front. In the final moments, it was a completely open game. In that sense, we'll take the point. But we need to be winning those kinds of games, even if our spectators go home with a smile on their faces."
