Bicakcic: "Felt like we were cursed"

Here are the reactions from the players and both coaches after the goalless draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Kerem Demirbay: "That was some of the best football we've played this season. A big compliment to the team, that was an outstanding performance. Gladbach probably don't know how they came away with a point. We were very good all over the pitch today. We can carry that forward on Wednesday."

Nico Schulz: "It's simply frustrating. We put in such a good performance and would've deserved the three points. In the end we were lacking a mixture of luck and precision. We believe in ourselves and we've seen what we can do. It shows our strength to put in such a performance despite the English week."

Joelinton: "We fought and gave it everything but we just couldn't get the goal."

Ermin Bicakcic: "Compliments to the team. We defended superbly from the back to the front and dominated the whole match. In the end it's a shame that we didn't get the three points as a reward for this outstanding display. We created an unbelievable amount of chances but the post, side-netting or a defensive block always got in the way. It felt like we were cursed. It just wouldn't go in. It was brutal."

Oliver Baumann: "We had the game under control for the duration, were consistently alert. Hats off for the performance over 90 minutes. It was the best display of the season. It's obviously just frustrating when you only have a point to show for it at the end."

Julian Nagelsmann: "We played incredibly well. We invested a lot and piled on a lot of pressure. I felt there was a goal in it for us. It was our best performance of the season. I'd even say it was one of the best, if not the very best, of my tenure. I'm very optimistic the scales will soon tip in our favour again."

Dieter Hecking (Borussia Mönchengladbach coach): "I'm in a good mood because we picked up a very fortuitous point. Hoffenheim really harried us. They performed very well. We then switched to a back three in the second half. It initially improved a bit for us, but we couldn't relieve enough pressure. I'm satisfied with the result but not with the way we played."
