Rosen: "We showed incredible spirit"

Here we bring you the reactions from the players, sporting director and both coaches after the 2-2 (0-2) draw at Olympique Lyon.

Pavel Kaderabek: "We wanted to win today, it's a shame that we didn't manage it. We were better in the second half, that probably gave Lyon a bit of a scare. After equalising at 2-2 we had another major opportunity through Joelinton, but we'll take the positives from today's match and we'll need to continue playing like we did in the second half. Obviously, the chances of reaching the knockout stages are minimal, but everything's possible in football. Anything can happen."

Kerem Demirbay: "It's impressive to come back from behind with 10 men against such an opponent in such a setting. We got our reward for the second half, but we were obviously also fortunate that the opponent didn't take their chances. That's football. We're still in with the slimmest of chances and we'll do everything in our power to go as far as we can."

Oliver Baumann: "Once again we gave away two goals far too easily. We didn't have anything to lose after the red card and gave everything with 10 men, showing more character and a little more desire. But it goes without saying that we're still disappointed that we didn't win here tonight. We'll give it everything to do as well as we can."

Alexander Rosen: "It was very charged with emotion. There were a lot of very dissatisfied players in the changing room despite the late equaliser, because we didn't consistently implement what we'd set out to. There was more in it for us today, we were too naive and too passive for a long time. Our belief had probably waned. But then we showed incredible spirit and the players wore their hearts on their sleeves. Now we have a chance to wrap up a place in the Europa League with a win over Shakhtar Donetsk and then we'll have another final in Manchester thereafter."

Julian Nagelsmann: "We had a good 20 minutes at the beginning of the match but then we let ourselves get sucked in. The opponent created chances too easily. It's important that you press after losing possession – Lyon had too much time too often. It's clear that we were fortunate to get the point. We didn't defend well in the first half. The fact we were able to come back was down to the opponent, because they didn't take their chances. We'd probably need two victories to secure a place in the knockout stages. If we want to achieve our minimum objective of third place, we'll need to win both games too. Whether we progress is no longer in our own hands."

Bruno Genesio (Olympique Lyon coach): "We're very disappointed and frustrated. We could've killed the game earlier and we're not satisfied with the draw. After they made it 2-1 we played slightly deeper and that was difficult for us. We didn't play intelligently and that's why we didn't get the three points."
