Bicakcic: "We're all very disappointed"

Here we bring you the reactions from the players and both coaches after TSG drew 3-3 with Hertha BSC, having led 2-1 at the break.

Ermin Bicakcic: "We've concluded that we gave the game away. We only really played in the first 10 or 15 minutes of the second half and thereafter we didn't do anywhere near enough. Scoring three goals away from home should be sufficient. Which is why we're all very disappointed. It's very painful to give away a win you have in the palm of your hands. We need to defend better from front to back so that the opposition doesn't get into those areas. Shame that my goal wasn't enough to get the three points for us. That means I can't really be too happy about it."

Kerem Demirbay: "It's obviously nice to get on the scoresheet. A few months ago I got a nasty injury here. But if I weren't to score for the next 13 months if it meant my team would win, I'd immediately settle for that. We actually performed pretty well but didn't get nearly enough from the game in the end. That's been our problem this season. We create an awful lot of chances and score a lot of goals but have been dropping too many points to close the gap to the top teams."

Julian Nagelsmann: "The 3-3 draw was deserved, so in that sense we can live with it. The opposition was better today. We saw two teams that defended very poorly today. We didn't continue to invest as much in the second period, were too flat in certain positions and didn't defend with enough awareness. With that in mind it wasn't deserved. I'm not satisfied with our performance."

Pal Dardai (Hertha BSC coach): "It was an outstanding Bundesliga game for the neutrals. My team played to win but you cannot afford to concede the kind of goals we did at the beginning in the Bundesliga. Nonetheless, we were able to strike one last blow at the end and get the point. The spirit and character we showed was fantastic. The team created a good atmosphere today. Everyone is happy, but unfortunately a point isn't enough."
