"We want a positive result from BVB again"

Head Coach Julian Nagelsmann spoke at the press conference ahead of the Bundesliga home game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday at 15:30 CET. He talked about the upcoming opponents and the current personnel situation at TSG Hoffenheim.

Julian Nagelsmann on …

… Borussia Dortmund: "Their build-up play is very controlled. The kind of structure that Lucien Favre wants to play is noticeable. There are many parallels present from his time at Gladbach. They are happy with their start to the season and also won in the Champions League."

… Lucien Favre: "I'm happy to see him again and I'll tell him that he's doing a great job."

… the game on Saturday: "It's a game between two very good clubs, who deservedly finished last season at the top. Dortmund has had a great start to the season. We want to get ourselves a few points and be successful against BVB again, as we were in the last match against them. We have a number of things up our sleeve that we'll want to show on Saturday."

… the personnel situation: "Everyone who was available in Donetsk is fit. Now we're starting to manage our workload. It could be that some players who would normally start this game, will not take part. We have some players in our squad that always play but we need to manage their participation with this schedule."

Dortmund's form:

BVB has taken seven points from their first three games and their new manager is still unbeaten in competitive matches. On Tuesday, Borussia Dortmund beat Club Brugge 1-0 in the Champions League.

Previous match-ups:

The last meeting between the two teams will most certainly still be in the memories of TSG fans. It was the 3-1 victory on the last game of the season that secured TSG a place in Champions League. Despite five TSG wins, the head to head comparison tips in their favour with eight Dortmund wins and seven draws.
