''That's really hard to take''

TSG Hoffenheim played very well during their 1-1 (0-0) draw with Borussia Dortmund - but they couldn't make the most of several chances and were extremely unlucky to concede an equalizer. Here's what the coaches and players had to say after the match.

Kevin Vogt: ''It's really hard to take. I would love to be standing here talking about how well we played. The football gods weren't on our side today. It will take us some time to process today's match. Not only did we play with a lot of of heart, we also offered up some really good football. Obviously it's hard to swallow for us, and it's an extremely lucky point for BVB. There isn't really much we can find fault with, we just have to keep playing like we did. If we put this kind of shift in out on the pitch every three days then we'll come to the point where we're rewarded for our performances. Everything came together, it's just the result that was missing.''

Florian Grillitsch:  ''We played really well. We just should have had it wrapped up earlier. We certainly had enough chances to do so. You win matches like that when you're playing well, when you're on top. We just have to be more clinical in front of goal. It's obviously incredibly hard to take when what seems like the opposition's first shot on goal goes in for the equalizer. But that's just football. Unfortunately.''

Nico Schulz: ''This feels even worse than against Donetsk in Kharkiv. We had even more clear cut chances today and pretty much gave nothing away at the back. That makes it that bit harder to take.''

Joelinton: ''I'm happy with my goal, but obviously not with the result.''

Julian Nagelsmann: ''Today I watched my team perform incredibly well. We were dominant across the whole pitch and showed some really nice technical touches. We made the most of a period of pressure to take the lead and we kept it up in the second half. The goal which would have made it 2-0 was correctly disallowed, but it was hard to process nonetheless. We played at an extremely high tempo. Even in injury time we could have got the winning goal. Nonetheless my team played well. Just one small request to the football gods: Please come back on to our side here in Sinsheim. If we're the better team, then we want to win next time round.''

Lucien Favre (Borussia Dortmund coach): ''We started the game well, but after 15 minutes our performance really dropped. It seemed like each time we lost the ball it ended up leading to a dangerous counterattack for Hoffenheim. We picked up again after 60 minutes. We got back into the game after the red card. We ought to be happy with a 1-1 draw.''
