Zuber: "I want to improve continuously"

Steven Zuber has joined up with the TSG Training Camp in Windischgarsten in preparation for the 2018/19 season after his extended break after the World Cup, and has gone in all guns blazing.

There is a good reason why Steven Zuber only began participating in TSG Hoffenheim's team training later on. The 26-year-old has, after all, contributed to the TSG annals. He became the first Hoffenheim player to score at a World Cup at this year's edition in Russia. He scored with his head for the Swiss national team against the record title holders Brazil to equalise, taking the game to 1-1. After participating in the Round of 16 in Russia, Steven Zuber is happy to be back with his team-mates: "Not much has changed. The training sessions are very complex and they're a lot of fun as a result."

He followed the beginning of TSG's pre-season during his well-earned vacation: "I was only able to keep up with the start to the season via social media. It smarted a little that I couldn't be there. That was something new for me."

The winger has shown himself to be raring to go at the training camp: "You always want to perform better than in the previous season or at least back up your own performance. I want to improve continuously."
