From PSV to TSG – Brenet joins Hoffenheim

TSG Hoffenheim have signed Netherlands international Joshua Brenet. The 24-year-old full-back from PSV Eindhoven has signed a contract in Sinsheim until the 30th June 2022. After Leonardo Bittencourt and Ishak Belfodil, Brenet is the third summer signing for next season’s Champions League participants.

"Joshua is a quick, dynamic player, who can give us a lot of power down the wing," said Alexander Rosen, who thinks that the fact that Brenet can play on both flanks, makes him a valuable addition to the squad in view of next season’s challenge.

"I’m pleased my move to Hoffenheim worked out," said Brenet, who completed his medical on Tuesday. "I’ll have the chance here to develop as a player at the highest level, with a young, attacking team, under the management of an exceptional coach. TSG is a great place for me to continue my career," he added.

Joshua Brenet made 150 appearances for PSV Eindhoven, scoring four goals. Despite his relative youth at 24 years of age, his CV is full of achievements: Three Dutch championships, two Supercup trophies. Brenet has made a total of 27 appearances in the Champions League/Europa League, 18 for the Netherlands international youth teams and two so far for the first team.
