Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Dear the fans, partners and friends of TSG Hoffenheim,

We wish you and your families a peaceful Christmas period and a happy New Year. We hope you can use the time away from the football to enjoy time with your loved ones and relax. We would also like to use this opportunity to thank you on behalf of TSG Hoffenheim for your loyalty and support. We can look back on and remember a successful, eventful and not-always easy 2017.

After the incredible fourth-place finish in the Bundesliga, we worked hard for the chance to make a name for ourselves on the international stage. A spot in the Champions League escaped us at the hands of Liverpool, but we won a lot of support in both those match and were able to both promote the Hoffenheim style of football and gain a place in the UEFA Europa League.

Despite the unfamiliar situation of playing in three competitions simultaneously and having to deliver a top performance every three or four days, we are on course to succeed in the Bundesliga. Now is the time to take a breath. The Advent season is a time for reflection during which we should take a break from the fast pace at which life whizzes by and take a look back at the highs and lows of the year.

We are already looking forward to the coming year and we’re certain that it’ll be a good one for TSG. Among other things, we are approaching a very special anniversary: we celebrated being promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time in 2008 and have remained in the league of Germany’s top 18 teams ever since. Ten years of Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga is something we can all take pride in.

We’ll go into the New Year with a new energy, but the same old collective strength and unity, so that we can once again achieve great things on and off the pitch! We’ll need to use your support again in 2018 to do that!
