TSG grind out point against Frankfurt

TSG left it late to seal a point against Eintracht Frankfurt at the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena on matchday 12 in the Bundesliga. Kevin Prince-Boateng put the guests in front inside 13 minutes, but Mark Uth’s injury-time equaliser denied the away win.

Line-up and tactics

Julian Nagelsmann made just one change to the team that beat 1. FC Köln on matchday 11, as Lukas Rupp came in for Nadiem Amiri. Oliver Baumann, Kerem Demirbay, Florian Grillitsch, Sandro Wagner, Nico Schulz, Mark Uth, Kevin Vogt, Kevin Akpoguma, Dennis Geiger and Stefan Posch completed the starting XI in a 3-5-2 formation.

Vogt was the central man in the back three ahead of Baumann, with Akpoguma and Posch either side of him. Schulz and Rupp flanked as wing backs, while Grillitsch sat in holding midfield behind Dennis Geiger and Kerem Demirbay. Sandro Wagner and Mark Uth led the line in attack.

Moment of the match:

Serge Gnabry is back, and what an impact he made. The attacker showed just what he has to offer TSG having recovered from injury with his work for the injury-time equaliser. Gnabry hit the gas, left his opponent helpless in the box and picked out Mark Uth.
