Kramaric: "We are tired, but very happy."

Reaction from the players and managers after the 1-0 home win over FC Bayern

Julian Nagelsmann: “We played so well in the first half, and executed our plan perfectly. We had some great chances, which Ulreich did so well to tip over. We had to keep pushing in that opening period. Everything that happened after the break was expected. Bayern got stronger and stronger and were able to bring some world class players from off the bench. In Oli we have a goalkeeper who you can rely on and he stood up superbly to Lewandowski. I am so happy for the club, because we have been able to beat Bayern for the first time.

Carlo Ancelotti: Congratulations to Hoffenheim. We were a little bit surprised by TSG’s style and we were not so good defensively. We played better in the second hald and were more aggressive. We had chances to get the equaliser. But some day it just doen’t go your way. That’s football.

Alexander Rosen: Today is all about joy and a little bit of pride. As everyone knows we had not beaten FC Bayern before today. It is a little bit special. I believe we started the game absolutely perfectly. We didn’t want to just get in the way we wanted to play our football. And if we are being honest we could have pushed higher in that first half. We were a little bit too passive after the break and our power went missing a bit. We ran a lot. You have to if you want to do well against Bayern. Towards the end it was a hard fought battle as all the action was in front of our goal, and sometime you need a bit of luck. We had more clear chances and I think we deserved to win.

Alexander Kramaric: Everyone on the pitch gave more than 100% tonight, and that was the key to the victory. We fought from the first moment to the last. The second half was hard for us because Bayern showed they are one of the best teams in the world. We are tired, but very happy.

Kevin Vogt: I have no idea how long injury time lasted, I was just trying to concentrate and contain my excitement. We played so well in the first half, but we could not quite get that second goal. The chances we had could easily have seen us stretch our lead. The second half was full of passion and we deserved the win in the end.

Sebastian Rudy: You would not have complained if we had gone in 3-0 at half-time. We couldn’t extend the lead, which meant the final few moments were tense. We had to leave everything out there but we deserved to win. We played very well, and created some good chances. We showed in that first half what we can do. We’re so happy about the win and very proud.

Benjamin Hübner: You have to work very hard against Bayern. We knew they would come out after the break. They had chances and we also had a little bit of luck but the first half performance alone merited the win. We believed in ourselves and just kept trying to stay calm.
