Seventh win of the season against Augsburg

TSG won 2-0 against FC Augsburg to secure their first win of 2017. Sandro Wagner scored his tenth goal of the season to give TSG Hoffenheim the lead, before Andrej Kramaric made it 2-0 with his fourth.

Line-up and tactics:

Niklas Süle recovered from injury in time to feature on Saturday, however it was too early for either Jeremy Toljan or Pavel Kaderabek to make their comebacks. Süle, Kevin Vogt and Benjamin Hübner played as a back three in front of Oliver Baumann in goal. Steven Zuber and Philipp Ochs came in to replace Toljan and Kaderabek on the wings. Sebastian Rudy, Kerem Demirbay and Nadiem Amiri started in central midfield, whilst Sandro Wagner and Mark Uth started up top.

Nagelsmann made changes at half-time. Ochs was replaced by Andrej Kramaric. He made another change in the 75th minute, bringing on Fabian Schär to replace Demirbay in central midfield. Eugen Polanski came on for Amiri just four minutes before the final whistle.

Highlight of the match:

The two goals. Wagner knew exactly what he was doing for the first goal and put TSG into the lead after an electric start to the first half.
