TSG win in Frankfurt

Second consecutive away win for TSG who take home three crucial points from Frankfurt take a big step towards survival in the Bundesliga. Nadiem Amiri and Mark Uth scored in a 2-0 win for Hoffenheim.

Tactics and line-up:

TSG lined up with three changes to the starting XI from the last game. Fabian Schär replaced the injured Ermin Bicakcic at centre back next to the familiar figure of Niklas Süle while the fullback positions were assumed by Jeremy Toljan and Pavel Kaderabek. Julian Nagelsmann brought in Philipp Ochs to play alongside Sebastian Rudy and Tobias Strobl in the midfield trio. In the attack, Kevin Volland and Andrej Kramaric started, with Eduardo Vargas joining the starting XI in place of Mark Uth.

After the break, Nagelsmann shuffled the attack. Mark Uth came on for Vargas and on the hour mark Ochs made way for Nadiem Amiri. With just minutes to go, Eugen Polanski was brought on in place of Kevin Volland to ensure some stability at the back.

Moment of the match:

It’s the 61st minute of the game; Philipp Ochs is brought off for Nadiem Amiri - a substitution that paid off instantly for Julian Nagelsmann. First touch of the ball for Amiri, wins the ball back in the middle and goes on the run, an unstoppable run - much like the shot at the end. Hoffenheim in front.

Number of the match: 4

The run continues. TSG are now four games unbeaten - three wins, two of which have come away from home.
