Darmstadt match reaction

We gathered the thoughts from the TSG camp after the 0-0 draw away at SV Darmstadt 98.

Markus Gisdol: Goals change games, but unfortunately we couldn't manage one today. In our current position, however, it's good to take a point away from here. It's something for us to build on.

Eugen Polanski: We knew it would be a very tough game, mainly because Darmstadt are very strong at the back. Despite that, we managed to exploit some gaps and create some chances. We need to work on that a bit, but all things considered, it was a positive performance and we played with passion, which is important against a side like them. I'd say that we earned our point.

Kevin Volland: We were just missing the final ball today. We're still lacking in attack, but we made some good chances in the last 20 minutes. Unfortunately we couldn't put any of them away. I thought we were very good defensively. We need to be winning games like these, especially when you consider that we left empty-handed against Bayern after a very strong start. We need to keep going and keep believing that we can pick up more points.

Alexander Rosen: We could have been leaving with all three points, and given how we played in the last 20 minutes, we probably should have done. After two defeats, I thought the team's performance was very good today. They were resolute and disciplined. If you play with too many men forward against Darmstadt, they'll punish you. We're pleased with a point from this game.
