TSG land striker Mark Uth

TSG have signed Mark-Alexander Uth from Dutch side SC Heerenveen. The 23-year-old striker has agreed a deal at TSG until 30th June 2018. The transfer was completed today when he finally put pen to paper on his contract.

“Uth has generated a lot of interest this last year with the manner in which he plays and his outstanding goalscoring record,” said TSG’s director of football, before adding: “His development isn’t over yet. He has made great advances over the last twelve months and will be an exciting player who provides a real goal threat for TSG.”

Mark Uth is looking forward to his Bundesliga challenge. After an impressive season in the Netherlands, he is now highly motivated to be able to prove himself in one of the best leagues in the world. He believes he will easily fit into Hoffenheim’s attacking playing style.

Born in Cologne, Uth had been with SC Heerenveen since July 2012. After being loaned out to league rivals Heracles Almelo, the imposing striker finally made his breakthrough last year. He scored 15 times in 32 league appearances, with the left-footer also providing a further eleven assists. The former Germany U20 international has also scored five times in the Europa League play-offs.
