Two friendly wins from two for TSG

After the successful friendly against Sportfreunde Lauffen on the weekend, TSG played their second pre-season warm-up game on Wednesday. Markus Gisdol's side recorded a victory in this one too, beating Regionalliga side FC Astoria Walldorf 4-0 in front of 2,500 spectators.

Having gone with the Germany national team to their training camp in South Tirol, Kevin Volland only returned to TSG on the weekend, but he had absolutely no problems settling right back in. He scored the first goal of the match in the 25th minute, ensuring a 1-0 half-time lead for Hoffenheim.

During the interval, manager Markus Gisdol made substitutions in nearly every position. The second half had barely kicked off when the first chance came for TSG. Tarik Elyounoussi had the opportunity to score the second goal, but he sent the ball over the crossbar. Elyounoussi made up for it 15 minutes later though, making it 2-0 from Bruno Nazario's ball in.

Walldorf's biggest chance came three minutes later when Leo Neziraj hit the post. TSG didn't let it affect them though, as Jiloan Hamad scored from a free kick in the 72nd minute, before Bruno Nazario scored the fourth and final goal of the match just three minutes later.

At the end of the match, the manager and team signed plenty of autographs and took plenty photos with the fans – an all-round successful friendly in Walldorf. Markus Gisdol was also very pleased with the performance of his team: “That was a very successful friendly against a tough opponent, who probably deserved a goal in the end.”
