Freiburg match reaction

Markus Gisdol: We battled hard for this point and deserved it too. With a bit of luck, it could have been more but we can live with this result. It's always difficult to get something in Freiburg.

Anthony Modeste: I have waited a long time for this goal. It was a good bit of play from Sven Schipplock beforehand. I am delighted things have come together and that I could help the team with a goal.

Kevin Volland: It was an absolute battle today. Both teams grappled for every centimetre. We came back from a goal down and there might have been even more for us, but we can be happy with a point. We were well organised today.

Alexander Rosen: The 1-1 draw is a fair result. It was close today and a real battle too. Sometimes the side that takes the lead ends up winning the game, but Markus Gisdol did everything right by making the changes he did. We can live with the point, especially looking at the results elsewhere.

Christian Streich: I was really happy with the way my team played today, but Hoffenheim had the quality to make something of their chances.
