Sven Schipplock to stay at TSG – Contract until 2016

Hoffenheim have extended the contract of Sven Schipplock by another two years. The 25-year-old striker, whose contract was due to run out in the summer, has signed on until June 30th 2016.

Always on the pitch

The man born in Reutlinger has been in the Kraichgau since 2011. Schipplock has been involved in every game this season, most recently having started the last three games. So far, the striker has scored twice in the league and three times in the German Cup.

Last season, Schipplock was involved in Hoffenheim's survival. On matchday 32, Hoffenheim were 2-0 down against Bremen before the striker came on to score two goals and secure a pivotal point. In the first game of the relegation playoff, the 25-year-old came on and scored Hoffenheim's third goal two minutes later (3-1 final score).
