Salihovic suspended for three games after red card against Freiburg
TSG player Sejad Salihovic has been suspended for three games by the German FA's disciplinary board. The club will not appeal the decision.
Salihovic was sent off by referee Tobias Stieler in Hoffenheim's 3-3 draw with SC Freiburg after “a minor assault against an opponent, who had previously shown unsportsmanlike conduct towards him.“
The Bosnian's next possible appearance for Hoffenheim is now the second round German Cup match against Energie Cottbus on August 24th, 20:30 CET in the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena.
Salihovic's next Bundesliga appearance won't come until at least matchday 7, when TSG host Schalke 04 (27th-29th September).
